    Description

    When you're pushing serious power through a Gen III Hemi, "good enough" clutches become liabilities. The Tilton ST-246 twin-disc clutch system delivers racing-derived technology engineered specifically for high-performance street and strip applications in 2007 and newer Dodge Challengers equipped with the TR6060 transmission.

    Unlike stamped steel "performance" clutches with bolt-on floater plates, the ST-246 was designed from the ground up as a true twin-disc clutch. The precision-machined aluminum clutch cover shares technology from Tilton's championship-winning OT-Series racing clutches, delivering higher strength, stiffness, and dynamic balance than OEM-type stamped covers. The high-mass main pressure plate and floater plate are machined from the same proprietary materials used in Tilton's racing clutches, providing exceptional heat capacity and resistance to warpage that keeps the clutch engaging consistently even under repeated high-load conditions.

    Heavy-duty straps attach the pressure plate and floater plate to the cover, minimizing the gear rattle and noise common to other twin-disc designs while ensuring clean clutch release. The billet chromoly flywheel features an 8-bolt pattern with a 130-tooth ring gear and precision register that provides optimal clutch/flywheel assembly balance - a critical detail that separates this system from loose-fitting designs. The 1-1/8" x 26-spline disc configuration matches TR6060 input shaft specifications, and the included CSC spacer ensures proper geometry with concentric slave cylinder setups.
