Description
The factory TKX shifter gets the job done, but its bulky turret and long throw don't deliver the precision shift feel that a serious build demands. The Qwik Stik solves this with a purpose-built design that brings your shift lever up to the factory console position in second-gen Camaro and Firebird applications while dramatically improving shift quality and reducing throw.
The smaller top turret is engineered to clear tight tunnel openings where factory shifters bind or interfere. Precision-machined billet aluminum plates mount directly to your TKX transmission, eliminating the guesswork of shifter placement. The Belleville washer detent system creates that crisp, positive engagement between gears—especially critical for quick 2-3 shifts where lesser shifters feel vague or sloppy.
With a 1" left offset and your choice of straight up or .5" backward positioning, the Qwik Stik puts the shift lever exactly where it needs to be for 1970-1981 Camaro and Firebird builds. The 7/8" on-center mounting accepts most performance shift levers, so you're not locked into proprietary components. Because there are no mechanical stops to wear or break, maintenance is minimal and shifter longevity is maximized—simply service the Belleville spring when needed.
