    Description

    The TREMEC TKX delivers 600 lb-ft of torque capacity and shifts cleanly at 7,500 RPM, but the factory shifter location rarely aligns with classic A-body tunnel openings. The Qwik Stik solves this problem with precision engineering designed specifically for 1964-1967 Pontiac GTO, LeMans, and Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 applications.

    This close-ratio, short-throw shifter transforms your TKX's shifting characteristics with billet aluminum construction that eliminates flex and delivers solid mechanical feedback. The Belleville washer detent system creates positive gear engagement you can feel through the lever. Unlike traditional stop mechanisms that wear out or break, this design uses spring tension for consistent operation and simplified maintenance access when service is required.

    The carefully calculated 2" left offset with selectable 1.3" or 1.8 backward positioning puts the shifter exactly where GM originally intended. The compact turret design clears factory tunnel openings without cutting or modification, while the narrow shift body profile maximizes clearance. The 7/8-inch on-center mounting accepts virtually any aftermarket shift lever, giving you complete control over handle length and angle.

    Direct-mount installation eliminates guesswork. These precision-machined plates bolt directly to your TKX transmission case. Attach your shift lever, boot, and shift knob and you are all set. The high-temperature dust boot protects internal components from road debris and moisture.

    Q. Why do I need a different shifter? A. The MDL Qwik Stik has a smaller top turret to clear the tunnel shifter opening. It is a short-throw shifter with lightning quick response, it is anodized for long life and has no stops to break or replace, as well as many other features over the stock shifter.
