Description
When firewall space is at a premium but you need full hydraulic output for a manual clutch system, Wilwood's Compact Remote Master Cylinder delivers. This 7/8" bore unit is designed for limited space applications requiring the output capacity of a full-size master cylinder. The ultra-short 3.37" compact body provides 2.16" of additional clearance between the mounting flange and the fluid outlet compared to conventional designs--making it ideal for tight engine bay conversions, LS swaps, and racing applications where every inch matters.
The engineering focuses on eliminating common hydraulic problems. The 3/8"-24 fluid outlet port is located at the top radius of the cylinder bore, reducing the chances for trapped air and making bleeding simpler. A full 1.12" of piston stroke meets or exceeds the stroke capacity of most full-size cylinders, ensuring adequate fluid volume for demanding clutch applications. The 7/8" bore diameter delivers 0.67 cubic inches of fluid displacement per stroke--sized appropriately for most hydraulic throwout bearing and external slave cylinder setups.
The remote reservoir capability adds installation flexibility to tight builds. The enhanced fluid inlet port allows mounting of the standard reservoir included in the kit while also containing 11/16"-20 internal threads for custom reservoir arrangements. This lets you position the reservoir for easy access while tucking the master cylinder into confined spaces. The black E-coated aluminum body resists corrosion and maintains a durable long-lasting finish.
This master cylinder works with most internal and external slave cylinders and is suitable for performance street and racing clutch applications. Manufactured by Wilwood in the USA.
