Description
Running out of fluid during a hard track session or aggressive street driving isn't just inconvenient - it's dangerous. The Wilwood High-Volume Master Cylinder solves the reservoir capacity problem that plagues most integral-reservoir designs. With a total capacity of 8.2 ounces, this master cylinder holds at least 26% more fluid than other brands, giving you critical insurance against low-fluid conditions as brake pads wear and thermal expansion draws fluid from the reservoir into the calipers.
Wilwood builds this master cylinder using high-pressure die-cast construction from high-grade aluminum. The die-casting process delivers tighter bore tolerances than sand-cast alternatives, improving seal life and heat dissipation. A generous 1-7/16" of piston travel accommodates high-displacement brake systems with four and six-piston calipers, providing the extra stroke margin you need when running aggressive brake setups.
Heavy-duty internal return springs ensure fast, positive piston retraction for immediate pedal release and improved pedal feel. The formed steel lid with bellows-type gasket creates a sealed system that prevents moisture contamination of your brake fluid - essential for maintaining proper boiling points and system performance. Standard 1/8-27 NPT outlet threading and common mounting dimensions for both flange and side mounting make installation straightforward on a wide range of applications.
This 7/8" bore master cylinder works in both hydraulic clutch and brake system applications. Compatible with DOT 3 or DOT 4 high-temperature brake fluids. Backed by lifetime technical support from Modern Driveline.
