Instead of living with poor shifter position or hacking up floor tunnels, this CNC-machined housing moves the shift mechanism to the front of the tailshaft while maintaining full compatibility with your existing shifter.
The rear pivot position is engineered to match the stock Mustang T5 shifter mount, allowing you to reuse your original shifter and save money. The rear shift position places the shift pivot point at 13.25" back from the main case, providing the forward shifter location you need without requiring custom shifter components. For further customization, pair it with MDL offset shifters to dial in left/right and front/back positioning - the dual shift positions offer up to 5.5" of range adjustment.
This housing features enhanced ribbing and upgraded materials compared to OE housings, providing increased strength and durability. Engineered with 3D solid modeling to exacting standards, it retains the Ford mechanical speedometer gear drive while adding compatibility for electronic analog and digital sensors. The GM transmission crossmember mount position ensures compatibility with existing S-10 installations, and the housing comes pre-machined for 0.8:1 5th gear upgrades.
