    Description

    Tight tunnel openings and awkward shifter placement kill the driving experience in many T5 swaps. The MDL Qwik Stik Shifter solves both problems with a compact top turret designed to clear restrictive floor openings and multiple stub offset options -- 1" left, straight up, or .5" forward -- so you can dial in ergonomics without cutting sheetmetal.

    This shifter is purpose-built for MDL's MD-510-1001 front shift T5 tail housings or any MDL front shift position transmission. The custom pivot point and bolt pattern mean it will not work with standard-position T5 tail housings. Billet aluminum construction shaves weight while the anodized finish resists corrosion and wear. The Belleville washer detent system replaces traditional stops, delivering a crisp feel on every gear change without the breakage risk that plagues stock designs. When service is needed, the stop-free design makes teardown straightforward.

    The shifter stub features a 7/8in. on-center mounting pattern compatible with most aftermarket shift levers, giving you flexibility to match your interior. A high-temperature lower dust boot keeps debris and fluid out of the mechanism. Ideal for hotrods, street rods, Ford Ranger V8 conversions, and any build where seat clearance or tunnel space is at a premium.

    Q. Why do I need a different shifter? A. The MDL Qwik Stik has a smaller top turret to clear the tunnel shifter opening. It is a short-throw shifter with lightning quick response, it is anodized for long life and has no stops to break or replace, as well as many other features over the stock shifter.
