The LF Series External Hydraulic Slave Kit solves the chronic problems of cable binding, inconsistent pedal feel, and header clearance issues that plague Ford's original cable setup.     The kit's design centers around transmission-case mounting, which provides several key advantages over bellhousing-mounted alternatives. By securing the slave cylinder to the solid T5 case rather than the bellhousing, the system maintains alignment regardless of bellhousing tolerances. The cylinder pushes from the rear of the OEM cable fork through an adjustable push rod, providing both header clearance and easy clutch engagement adjustment. The 0.75-inch bore delivers the precise hydraulic volume needed for proper T5 clutch actuation without over-travel or binding.

    The stainless steel braided hydraulic line features -4AN aluminum fittings for leak-free connections and long-term durability.     Q. Why won't my transmission go into gear? A. Check your 'Master Cylinder throw distance, it should be 1.4". You may have to adjust your clutch pedal height in the vehicle. Q. Why is my pedal bottoming out ? A. Adjust your clevis and your pedal, balance the amount of adjustment you need between the two until your pedal does not bottom out anymore. Q. My pedal feels spongy and the slave cylinder does move right away. A. You have air trapped in the system, re-bleed the system again, follow the bleed instructions, or see the video on bleeding hydraulics on this page under the Video Tab Q. What type of fluid do I use in my clutch hydraulics? A. DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid only in this application. There is no need for high temp brake fluid. Q. Will this kit work a stock clutch pedal? A. Yes, it will fit an original factory pedal and an OE reproduction aftermarket pedal.
