This transmission adapter is perfect for those looking to convert their Y-block power car to a 83-93 Ford T5 five speed. If you are using a truck Y-block bellhousing, and wish to locate the shifter toward the main case, use our front shifted Y-block T-5 part number MD-552-0251-YFSF. Will work with 94-04 Mustang T-5 but keep in mind the transmission mount will be rotated and not flat.
Clocking Information.
The T5 bolt pattern has been clocked 5 degrees Counterclockwise which orients the stock Ford T5 transmission tailstock to place the shifter mount slightly canted toward the driver coming through the floor through the shifter opening. Eliminating the need for large offset stubs in most cases.
