Description
Swapping a square-base T5 or T56 Non-Magnum into a classic chassis often means the stock shifter lands in the wrong spot - too far back, too close to the tunnel wall, or buried under your console. The MDL Qwik Stik solves these positioning headaches with a precision-machined billet aluminum shifter assembly that mounts directly to your transmission and delivers the exact placement your build demands.
The compact top turret is the key to fitment success. Unlike bulky OEM or generic aftermarket shifters, the Qwik Stik's narrow profile clears tight tunnel openings without cutting sheet metal. The 1" or 1.5" forward offset stub brings your shift lever up in the factory position for GM applications.
Shift quality comes from the engineering details. Belleville washers create a positive detent feel that makes the critical 2-3 shift crisp and confident, while the no-stops architecture eliminates the breakage-prone mechanical stops found on lesser shifters. When service is needed, the Belleville spring design allows quick access without fighting the mechanism. The 7/8 in. on-center mounting pattern accepts most aftermarket shift levers, so you can run your preferred stick and knob combination.
