Description
When swapping a T56 non-Magnum or S-10 T5 into a classic muscle car or hot rod, the factory shifter location rarely lines up where you need it. The MDL Qwik Stik solves that placement problem while delivering short-throw, close-ratio performance that leaves stock shifters in the dust.
The key advantage is the compact top turret design. The narrow shift body clears standard tunnel shifter openings without cutting your floor—a major time and hassle saver during installation. This particular configuration provides 2" left, 1.95" or 2.45" backward positioning, putting the shift lever right where factory ergonomics intended.
Shift feel is where the Qwik Stik really shines. Belleville washers create excellent detent pressure for crisp, positive engagement—especially noticeable in the critical 2-3 shift. The no-stops design eliminates traditional mechanical stops that can break or wear out, while making servicing straightforward when maintenance is required. The 7/8in on-center mounting pattern accepts most aftermarket shift levers, so you can choose the handle that fits your style.
