Description
Stock T56 shifters often create clearance problems in classic muscle car and street rod applications - the factory turret is too large for most transmission tunnel openings. The Qwik Stik solves this with a narrow shift body and smaller top turret that clears the shifter hole without cutting the floor, while delivering short-throw performance that transforms the shifting experience.
The engineering centers on precision-machined billet aluminum construction that saves weight while providing the rigidity needed for aggressive shifting. Belleville washers create positive detent engagement for crisp shifts, particularly the critical 2-3 transition. Unlike stock shifters that rely on stops that can break and require replacement, this design uses a Belleville spring system that eliminates that common failure point entirely and allows easy servicing when needed.
This shifter offers 1" left offset combined with dual backward positioning options - 0.65" or 1.15" - giving you flexibility to dial in precise lever placement for Windsor applications. The offset stub can also be flipped to provide a 1" forward offset if your build requires it. The 7/8" on-center mounting stub maintains compatibility with most aftermarket shift levers, so you can run your preferred handle and knob combination.
Designed specifically for T56 6-speed transmissions with Windsor bolt patterns. The high-temperature lower dust boot protects internal components from contamination. These precision machined and anodized shifter assemblies mount directly to your transmission, taking all the worry and hassle out of shifter placement. Proudly crafted in the USA.
