Description
Swapping a T56 Non-Magnum or T5 into a classic muscle car usually means one thing: the factory shifter won't clear your tunnel opening. The Qwik Stik solves this with a compact top turret specifically designed to fit through factory floor holes without cutting or modification. The narrow shift body slips right through, putting the lever exactly where you need it.
The engineering behind this shifter centers on its Belleville spring detent system, which eliminates the traditional plastic stops found on factory and many aftermarket units. That means nothing to crack, break, or replace - and the spring-loaded design delivers excellent detent feel with lightning-quick, precise shifts. The Belleville washers provide especially crisp engagement on the 2-3 shift, where sloppy factory shifters often let you down.
Installation versatility is built in. The offset stub ships configured for 1.95" or 2.15" forward offset. The standard 7/8" on-center mounting works with most aftermarket shift levers - just attach your lever, boot, and shift knob and you're set. Precision-machined from billet aluminum and anodized for long-term durability, the Qwik Stik mounts directly to your transmission, taking all the guesswork out of shifter placement.
Compatible with all square-base T56 Non-Magnum 6-speed and T5 5-speed transmissions with square base. Note: Depending on your application, you may require a rear shift position cover plate (Item #80520-07). Proudly made in the USA.
