Description
Factory T5 and T45 shifters leave a lot to be desired — sloppy throws, vague engagement, and oversized turrets that fight tight tunnel clearances. The MDL Qwik Stik replaces all of that with a close-ratio, short-throw assembly engineered for precision and reliability. Designed specifically for TREMEC T5 transmissions with Mustang tail housing or T45 applications, this shifter brings your shift lever up to factory position with a straight-up stub orientation and no offset.
Precision machined from billet aluminum, the Qwik Stik saves weight while delivering the rigidity needed for consistent shift feel at any RPM. The small top turret design clears tight floor openings that defeat bulkier stock and aftermarket shifters. Belleville washers replace traditional detent springs, creating positive engagement and crisp 2-3 shifts under power — a significant upgrade over worn or weak factory components.
Unlike designs with breakage-prone hard stops, the Belleville spring configuration eliminates wear points and allows easy field servicing when needed. The 7/8-inch on-center stub mounting accepts most aftermarket shift levers, so you can retain your preferred lever and knob setup. Installation is straightforward — these precision-machined plates mount directly to your transmission, eliminating guesswork in shifter placement. Attach your shift lever, boot, and shift knob, and you are set.
Note: This shifter does not include internal stops and will not fit Camaro or S-10 T5 applications. This unit features rear shifter position and rear socket position. Made in the USA.
