    Description

    Getting the correct speed sensor output and operating the reverse lockout are typically the most frustrating and confusing aspects of a TREMEC 6-speed conversion. This Bowler 3-in-1 harness eliminates that headache by consolidating three critical functions -- reverse lockout control, dual speedometer outputs, and reverse lighting -- into one intelligent, pre-wired system designed specifically for GM Super Magnum, Magnum F, and 2010+ Camaro TR6060 transmissions.

    The reverse lockout is a solenoid-controlled pin that uses spring pressure against the shift rail to help prevent accidental shifts into reverse when going into 5th gear. It does not prohibit reverse engagement; it simply makes it difficult to shift into reverse without a power signal. Once power is applied, the solenoid retracts the pin for minimal-effort engagement. The OEs control this feature using a speed setting rather than a momentary on/off signal -- and this harness incorporates that same speed-based logic, giving you precise control over when the lockout triggers. No more wiring to the brake light switch, which overworks the solenoid and shortens its lifespan.

    For electronic speedometers, the harness provides two completely independent speed sensor outputs that generate a square wave signal from -5V to +5V, varying in frequency with vehicle speed. When your ECM requires a positive-only signal, the output automatically shifts to provide 0V to +10V. Both outputs can be calibrated separately with any pulse count and ratio you need through the free Bowler smartphone app -- drive any common speedometer, cruise control, or ECM without additional signal converters or adapters. The dual outputs mean you can run an electronic speedometer and an ECM requiring different pulse counts simultaneously.

    The small epoxy-sealed controller mounts directly to the VSS output using the existing bolt, then connects via Bluetooth to your Apple or Android smartphone for full customization. Power requires only a switched +12V circuit and a ground connection to the negative battery post or engine block. Prior to this 3-in-1 solution, you would need up to five separate parts to perform all the same functions -- this is the only harness you will ever need for your TREMEC 6-speed conversion.
