MDL LF Series External Hydraulic Clutch Slave kit, Ford Mustang 1979-1993Tremec T5 transmission mounted for QuickTime RM-6060/6065 steel and aftermarket Ford aluminum bellhousingsModern Driveline Lightfoot series clutch slave cylinder kit for 79-93 Mustang T5, can be mounted to the transmission with either a QuickTime RM-6060, RM-6065 bellhousing or an aluminum bell housing. This is the solution for converting the cable bellhousing to external hydraulic release.Mounting to the T5 transmission case the cylinder pushes from the rear of the fork, clearing long tube headers while making it easy to install and service.Gone are the problems of clutch cable clearance issues and heavier pedal due to worn cables that drag. When coupled to MDL LF Series master cylinder kits, installing or converting to hydraulic clutch release could be easier.Engineered as a system, it takes the guesswork out, while providing maximum results.

    FAQs

    Q. Why won't my transmission go into gear? A. Check your 'Master Cylinder throw distance, it should be 1.4". You may have to adjust your clutch pedal height in the vehicle. Q. Why is my pedal bottoming out ? A. Adjust your clevis and your pedal, balance the amount of adjustment you need between the two untill your pedal does not bottom out anymore. Q. My pedal feels spongy and the slave cylinder does move right away. A. You have air trapped in the system, re-bleed the system again, follow the bleed instructions, or see the video on bleeding hydraulics on this page under the Video Tab Q. What type of fluid do I use in my clutch hydraulics? A. DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid only in this application. There is no need for high temp brake fluid. Q. Will this kit work a stock clutch pedal? A. Yes, it will fit an original factory pedal and an OE reproduction aftermarket pedal.
