“Initial call for a TKX conversion went quite well, seemed very professional. there was a confusion as to which LS engine we were using, but that was resolved. Then owner got a call about back ordered bellhousing. I called and was informed the bellhousing in the kit was backordered, and I should try to find one elsewhere. They wanted to ship everything else but bellhousing. I asked them to hold order AS IS until I found a bellhousing, or they got them in. took a few weeks, but I found, bought and had delivered a bellhousing that I was told I needed, by part number. Called and asked them to go ahead with order minus bellhousing. Got an email from them with invoice. did not look at it for two weeks when i was wondering where my kit was, and find the invoice is marked CLOSED! Called and was told it was closed because it was not completed in 30 days of initial order date. I was waiting on THEIR parts…”

“Steve helped me get everything straightened out. Trans kit shipped and delivered quickly. The day trans arrived, I went to bolt bellhousing up, and IT DOESN’T FIT!!! Called again. had to send pics. Finally they figured out that they had put the incorrect bellhousing part number was on the original MDL original order. So there I sat, with a $900 bellhousing that i was told to buy, and it is incorrect. MDL said there was nothing they would do because I didn’t buy it from them. Said a message to the owner would be forwarded and he may reach out to me. Nothing. Their unorganization cost me $900, and weeks of waiting. And I am sure there will be a reply to a 2 star review, but you at MDL have had 2 months to reach out to me. You have my contact info, but I doubt you will call.”

Travis and I have talked about the incorrect bellhousing model recommendation that was made. We have had a good conversation about the project and he is back on straight and narrow. The bellhousing that was purchased from another seller on eBay will be used for another project.
An offer was extended to do a swap to get the right bellhousing to finish the project. Normally we stock lots of bellhousings, but there has been a shortage of QuickTime bellhousing which has delayed completely shipping orders out in a timely manner. Travis, thank you for your understanding, and have an adult conversation about what happened.

“I’m building a restomod ’62 Ranchero.
I bought a T5 kit from MDL. It has a relocated shifter.
This car had a badly rusted floor, so I replaced it with a Dynacorn floor. I’ve also installed an R&C Mustang II front cross member with motor mounts.
Now I’m in the process of mocking in all the parts before paint.
Amazingly, the engine and transmission fit without modification to the firewall or transmission tunnel. This is with three different vendors, and me doing all the measuring & welding. I mean this drivetrain fit like it had been in there before!
