“I bought an auto-to-manual swap from MDL. Went with the TKX for my 1970 Chevelle big block project. Still slowly installing it at the moment, but I went through there checklist they send with the parts and how to make sure nothing happened to the transmission in shipping. Everything is going smoothly! I talked to Steve a few times now.

“I purchased and installed a T5 transmission into my 1950 Ford F1 with a Flathead motor replacing a Ford 4-speed toploader. The change in performance is incredible! With the 4-speed, I had to constantly deal with clutch chatter, gears not engaging, and high-revving RPMs.
This T5 completely changed all that… The shifting is almost effortless and the lower RPMs are a game changer.
Flatheads are known for heating up, especially in hot climates like Central California, and with the 4-speed I was at 2,900 RPM @ 65 MPH on the Highway. Now, I’m cruising at 1,800 RPM and able to have a conversation with my passenger and not worry about my engine overheating.
If you have a Flathead and are dealing with any of these issues, I would highly recommend the T5 from Modern Driveline.”

“1965 Ranchero – 3 speed…… To Mod Drive Line 4+1 (5 speed) Ordered all the stuff needed. They know what they are talking about.
I was able to reuse my factory bell housing (Plan on pulling the Bell Housing) and clutch set up (10”). Needed to cut a hole in the floor for the shifter (use a zip wheel).
Well made Well sold Well shipped Well supported.
If/when I do another upgrade these guys are who I will call. Finding a Shop that does exactly what they say and they know what they are doing – Priceless. “
