“I bought an auto-to-manual swap from MDL. Went with the TKX for my 1970 Chevelle big block project. Still slowly installing it at the moment, but I went through there checklist they send with the parts and how to make sure nothing happened to the transmission in shipping. Everything is going smoothly! I talked to Steve a few times now. He’s been a really big help! Thanks, Steve!

I went with MDL cause they were the quickest to get back to me with a quote. I sent out to 2 other companies. The other companies still send me junk ads months later but never a quote. MDL sent me a quote and updated it when I wanted to change something on the list. This went on for over 2 months. They have been a huge help! I do want to apologize to Steve for all the dumb questions and the ” Oh I forgot to ask about this or that” lol”

“I purchased a hydraulic clutch conversion kit to install a T-5 in my 67 Mustang in 2015. The components in the kit were excellent and high quality. We installed it in 2015.
Twice I had local mechanics decide the clutch needed to engage closer to the top of the pedal travel. Twice the slave cylinder overextended and pushed the slave cylinder piston out as a result.
Paul, Steve, and Bruce gave us excellent phone support. Bruce reviewed the math behind the dimensions to be held for the master cylinder, and slave cylinder, and even offered some suggestions for a shop to help if we could not solve the situation.
Don’t forget – this is a system purchased over 8 years ago.
We followed instructions and reset the dimensions Bruce reviewed with us. Problem solved! And don’t forget – this is a system purchased over 8 years ago.
Subsequently, I was approached at a local show by a person planning on installing a T-5 in a 69 Mustang. I told them to get the conversion kit from Modern Drivelines and follow the dimensions in the instructions. I’ll give anyone the same recommendation moving forward.”
