Are you needing to move the shifter forward on your T-5 and wonder how to move that? Modern Driveline has a solution for this. We tooled up and built a new tail shaft housing to move the shift box to the front of the tail shaft housing and provide two shift pivot positions. Front shift position places the shift pivot point at 11.75″ back from the main case. Front shift front position does require a MDL shifter as there is no stock application to move to this location. You can further customize the shift lever position with one of our offset shifters to move left or right, front to back to make your ride perfect.

Direct replacement in 1983-1993 V8 Mustangs
The Super Duty TREMEC T5 is a step up from the existing T5 used in the 2005-2010 V6 Mustangs built with a 2.95 first and a .63 overdrive for a more fuel-efficient experience (0.73 ratios optional), as well as, more torque handling than its former counterpart. T
his transmission is built specifically for the aftermarket and is enhanced by Modern Driveline to be a direct fit into the 2005-2010 S197 V6 Mustangs using the stock bellhousing.
No modifications needed.
The 94-95 SN95 Mustang/Cobra Super Duty T-5z is a step up from the T5’s used in the 1994-95 Mustangs.
The gear sets in the earlier t5’s were built with a 3.35 first gear with a .68 overdrive.
The Super Duty T-5z is built with a 2.95 first and a .63 overdrive idea for 3.55:1 axle ratio
